In my workplace we have 4.5 version and some 5.o.
but the client needs only in 4.5.

once i used 5.0 version for a system and later wondered how to bring it back to 4.5 version, because files of 4.5 version can be run in 5.0 but not the other way.

So what i did was, i converted the model file from the 5.0 Ver. to neutral file and then brought the neutral file alive in the 4.5 ver. using the intergraph option.

If there are anyother way please inform me.

You have found the only way to move back in versions, and I must caution you that this doesn't always work. The success of this operation depends on how much new data "Version Y" contains compared to "Version X". If we add too much to "Version Y", its neutral file can not be read by "Version X".

You can study both neutral file formats in the appropriate Caesar II Technical Reference Manual, in the chapter on External Interfaces, called the Generic Neutral File. You can take your 5.00 .cii file and open it in a word processor and edit it to change the format to version 4.50. Then you can bring it into 4.50 using the same External Interface->Caesar II Neutral File operation. If you modified the file correctly it will work, if not, you will add to any frustration you may already have. shocked
