Well.... maybe.
If you are simply trying to provide support in the vertical direction I would use a regular old Y support instead. Save the +YROD for those situations where vertical rise due to horizontal swing are significant or where induced horizontal load may play a role.
I believe the B31.1 Code limits angulation to not more than 4 degrees. In these situations the +YROD doesn't improve the quality of the results but these (nonlinear) restraints will slow down the analysis.
