What does the word "PRISMATIC" means? I've seen this word from "MATRIX ANALYSIS OF STRUCTURES" under the topic "PLANE TRUSSES"....

My understanding of Prismatic is that is means being of uniform cross sectional area rather than tapered. Any rolled section or pipe could be described as prismatic.
