Is it not possible to define more than one temperature cases during the input of model for the analysis per code B31.8 Ch. VIII.

It has been noted that the analysis stress results for the second temperature (W+P2+T2) case shows a "code Stress check failed" report and reprots a very low allowable stress.

In the specific analysis the following temperature cases are used. T1 = 95 °C and T2 = 1 °C. Pipe material API 5L X65 (platform piping) . The T2 case is failing.

IF we reverse the temperatures i.e. T1=1 °C and T2 = 95 °C, again the T2 case is faling.

Same is the case for T1 = 1°C and T2=1°C.

On individual analysis with different temperature, the system is passing the stress check.

Anybody got any idea on this?

This should work fine - I just tested it. Send me your ._A and ._J files and I'll take a look at your specific job.

(You can send the files to techsupport@coade.com.)
