I must confess to a bit of confusion. From the latest newsletter discussing the features of version 4.3, it sounds like the new version has shipped.

However, my company has not yet received an updated copy and as I check the site news, the last word on 4.3 was in November announcing Beta Testing with planned release in Jan/Feb 2001.

Is this a case of the newsletter coming out with the expectation that 4.3 would be here, but the update didn't get released in time? If it's not out yet, can we get an expected ETA?

And, while on the subject of upgrades, what is the proper channel to offer requests for features? Should they be posted to this forum or would a direct email be more appropriate?

Thanks
Edward Klein

The COADE newsletter Mechanical Engineering News is published twice a year - January and July. The January 2001 issue discussed CAESAR II 4.30 release because timing wise, July 2001 would be too late.

Beta testing did start in November 2000 and ran through January. We used 4.30 in our most recent seminars with excellent performance. If everything works out this week, we should cut the master CD this Friday, Feb 23. Add one week for CD duplication, and we should be able to start shipping by March 6 or 7.

As for suggested upgrades, either post a message to this forum or send a direct e-mail. Both avenues will work equally well.

Outstanding. I'll be keeping an eye on our IT department.

Thanks for the updates,
