Currently, for Caesar II V.12 I have an issue with caesar II files regarding to apparently with my user it does not load the piping input.

Has anyone ever had this problem? It can be associated with hardware?

Thank you for your help

This problem is probably not hardware. However here are a number of questions and items to check.

1) Has CAESAR II ever run on this machine/OS before?
2) If the answer to (1) above is "yes", what has changed with the machine and setup since the last time CAESAR II ran successfully?
3) If the answer to (1) above is "no", make sure you have the latest Windows updates installed.
4) Check the "taskbar" to make sure the Piping Input module isn't running minimized.
5) Startup a "command prompt", navigate to the CAESAR II installation directory and issue the command "PREPIP". Are there any messages displayed?

If all else fails, open a Support Request on Smart Support.

1) Right-click on the Windows icon at the far left of the taskbar.
2) Near the bottom of the list, click on "Run".
3) In the "edit box", type in "cmd" and then click "Ok".

This will bring up a "command" (old fashion DOS) window. From here:

4) Use the "cd" (change directory) command to navigate to the CAESAR II program directory. Note, if there are spaces in the directory path, enclose the directory path in double-quotes.
5) Once in the CAESAR II program directory, issue the command "PREPIP". You may have to specify the path to the data directory, as in:
> prepip c:\project_1 [Enter]

6) There may or may not be a message indicating what is wrong (like a missing DLL or an issue with ".Net"). IF the problem continues, open a Support Request on Smart Support.
