dead weight balance at ambient cond for centrifugal pumps

Can I do the above by having WNC cond nozzle alignment chk with all springs unlocked with misalignment values reqd to achieve virtual alignment with fluid in Caesar-II ?

WNC to W is an accurate load to rely on. If WNC we can verify, we can do W the above way,too -isn't it!

sam

You can run CAESAR II twice - once to find or check the spring loads for your alignment case and once again for the operating case. If both approaches produce the same spring, you should be able to adjust them for each purpose.
Just be sure to set the proper load component (W or WNC) to handle the fluid weight. You may also have to adjust your model weight for insulation if that is not present when aligning the equipment.

Yes Sir!

With proper use of simulation, we can have ambient condition load balancing for pump nozzles as we do in case of centrifugal compressor and steam turbine nozzles!
