It's typically better to put restraints for a node on elements that share that node number, to facilitate finding that restraint later if you need to change it.
E.G. if your model is 10-20-30, and your support location is 20, place 3 or 4 on 10-20 and the remaining on 20-30.
However, I'll note that double-clicking on the support geometry (e.g. 3d arrow) will automatically bring you to the appropriate element, though when you combine multiple restraint types at the same location, the geometry overlaps (depending which version of CAESAR you use).
