While not directly beneficial to you, I find that AutoCAD PCF import isn't much better, but is related to the number of changes that have been made to the AutoCAD file. I.E. if the piping is simply run from point a to b, it'll import into CAESAR, but when the piping is modified, the PCF file becomes convoluted and both CAESAR and ISOGEN can have problems with the PCF files.
If someone were able to come up with a PCF cleaner, they could stand to make a good bit of money.
