I have around 7 thermal cases in the model ( T1 to T7).
For one particular model when I make cases as under -

W+H HGR
W+T1+P1+H HGR
W+T2+P1+H HGR
W+T3+P1+H HGR
W+T4+P1+H HGR
W+T5+P1+H HGR
W+T6+P1+H HGR
W+T7+P1+H HGR
WW+HP+H HYD

The above topic is continued here -
the results are not consistent with the model where I had cases as under-

W HGR
W+T1+P1 HGR
W+T2+P1 HGR
W+T3+P1 HGR
W+T4+P1 HGR
W+T5+P1 HGR
W+T6+P1 HGR
W+T7+P1 HGR
WW+HP+H HYD

Springs are getting changed and we see overstress in SUS cases with large pull at hanger locations in SUS case.
There is not a single pre-defined spring in the model.

For other models when we followed same procedure , such problem was not observed.

What is going wrong, please advice.

Typically "H" (which represents the preload on the hangers) is not included in the 1st case (restrained weight) - unless you also have predefined springs in the model?

Did you indicate that you had 7 hanger OPE cases to consider in the hanger design? Which selection method did you choose? Are both of these settings the same for both jobs?

We checked with and without H in first case. Results were identical.
Under hanger design control data we have asked for Multiple Load case design option as "13-Max Load & Travel " With this we get a higher load capacity model ( required is approx. 7000 N , designed by CAESARII is 100,000 N, sustained travel is 40 mm )This is irrespective of H included in HGR runs.If we select Multiple Load case design option as "1-operating case #1 " then the results are 7000 N and < 1mm travel.

If you want Tech Support to look at the job in details, open a Support Request on Smart Support (and send in the job file).
