Dear all smile

As i know if my operating stress are Within Allowable limits but occasional loads (Win 1) are increase and it shows failed. So at that time i will check stress and find out Perticular node where Stress increased .

Compare the displacement with Operating Condition , If it in occ case the displacment in +X direction is supoose 20 mm, but In operating It is 4 mm so i can Provide guide with 4 mm gap which allow the piping displacment within limit.

but
Question 1 - what i can do if my operating case pass with 20 mm displacemnt and In Occ case displacment is lower than 20 mm but its fails so how i can resolve this.

Question 2 is- With same condition expansion case failing.

Kindly reply.

Gap with 19 mm will also pass your system in wind. Will you do that?

As far as possible, maintain standard supporting.

Check the system as a whole, you will find better place to put the guide.

Having said that, it is not unusaual practice to provide non standard gaps.

Que 1&2
Ans: proper layout and supporting required.

Dear ASHISH

Thanks for your Guidance

But can we provide guide gap for 40/50 mm ? Because as i know and in my previous project the guide gap kept always 2/3/5 mm.

Kindly tell me what is the reason of question 1 , i think its just due to releative motion/displacment of occ condition hmmm.

See Anuj.

Dont want to run you down, but u need to consult your senior.

In crude languge, thermal stress and occ. stress are opp. one needs flexibility other rigidity. you need to balance these two.
20mm makes your system too flexible, so it fails in occ.
suppose your occ displacement is 5mm, then u need restrain with 4 mm, that will reduce your occ stress, but this will increase thermal.
Ans: proper layout and supporting required.
