Hi friends
I have got new system wher im taking a 200NB connection from Blind flage of 1000NB and connection type is Un reinforced.when i define SIF on blind flange, stress at connecting point is '0'but the same SIF when i define on Pipe which is connecting to the Bind flange, stress at the connecting point is 110

Both case i define SIF on same Node Number then how this diffrence happening.?

Of course , for rigids (blind flange), the sif is 0. I mean, Caesar will not list anything for rigids (only zeroes).

Several comments:

First, SIFs cannot be less than 1.0. Second, CAESAR II does not compute stresses on rigid elements - the software doesn't know the cross-section. Third, if you over-stress a rigid, your pipe failed long before.
