Dear All,

I am doing Stress Analysis of 24” NB CS PE lined launcher receiver Pipeline with soil stiffness calculation.
My system is passing in all cases except Hydrotest Loadcase WW+HP if I take the load case as W+HP and loadcase taken as Hydrotest then the system passes.

I understand that practically pipeline is continuously supported at buried section hence the fluid and insulatoin densities are converted to zero after buried conversion then why it is showing fail in “WW+HP” though it is showing zero value at fluid and Insulation density at buried section.
I hope I have not done any mistake or error so attaching C2file for better review (it is input file please go to buried spreadsheet and click on convert to get buried CAESAR II file with extensionB also change bend angle as 0.1 to 135, I cudnt upload buried CAESAR II due to its large size) please give me your expertise advise and suggestions to pass the system for "WW+HP".

Also, Please not if I break the long distance node at a distance of 25mtr i.e. short distances then the stress ratio is reducing in Hydrotest but is it a correct manner way to pass the system for Hydrotest??.The thickness of pipe is ok as per manual calculation for HYDROTEST.

Thankyou,

With Best Regards,
PCJ

"WW" is a special "Load Primative", it overrides density settings and assumes the pipe is filled with water. You are correct (for the buried model) in using "W+HP".
