HI to all,

when we creates case WNC then CAESAR will apply Weight No Content option to whole model, can any body tell me, how can i build a case/model such that when i apply WNC case it should not apply to whole model rather apply only selected nodes and remaining model/nodes will be treated under operating case.

You can't do that.

You build load cases by assembling "load primitives" into load cases, like so:

1) W + T1 + P1
2) WNC + T1 + P1

You can't say use "W" for part of the model and "WNC" for a different part.

If you have part of the system with fluid and part of the system without, then change the magnitude of the fluid density specification.

Thanks Richard for giving reply,

"If you have part of the system with fluid and part of the system without, then change the magnitude of the fluid density specification."

i can't do that because,

We have column - vertical re boiler( thermosyphon) system in that a column is connected to two vertical re boiler and the two reboiler is mounted on springs rather than rest support (so we have to consider WNC case) now operating philosophy is such that there is stand by operating case for reboiler i.e. when one reboiler is working other is in stand by & wise versa , so when i build WNC case for a model considering fluid density parameter for reboiler say "A" then i can't build WNC case for "B" reboiler in same model..................... .............. so rather than making different model ... is there other option available.

thanks

Not at this time, since there is only one density field.

It is a way you can do it. See the attached file.

You will have to find out the Equivalent Fluid Uniform load (in the example 9.12583 lb/in).

Then to use the Uniform Load field to inset this. It will allow you three combinations as in example

1. Element 10 to 20 full, 10 to 30 empty

2. Element 10 to 20 empty, 10 to 30 full

3. Element 10 to 20 full, 10 to 30 full

Then costruct the load cases as you need

The third combination (with both elements full of liquid) should match the
W+P loadcase.
