I appreciate if somebody help me about how caesar II gets Allowable code stress. My concern is because when i see the following stress report i donīt know how is possible that the stress give so low. More over knowing that the schedulle of the pipe is less than the required by internal pressure.

Piping Code: B31.4 = B31.4 -2006, October 20, 2006

*** CODE COMPLIANCE EVALUATION PASSED ***

Highest Stresses: (lb./sq.in.)
CodeStress Ratio (%) is 18.7 at Node 210 LOADCASE: 10 (SUS) W+P2
Code Stress: 6571.6 Allowable: 35100.0
Axial Stress: 23881.6 @Node 1028 LOADCASE: 1 (HYD) WW+HP
Bending Stress: 8753.0 @Node 2150 LOADCASE: 7 (OPE) W+T1+P1-U2
Torsion Stress: 1190.1 @Node 200 LOADCASE: 12 (EXP) L12=L8-L10

Dear EMO

Please refer code for the allowable. Each code has different allowable value. This allowable value is much less than yield stress. Check code yield stress & code stress is written side by side. For Expansion stress range, Occasional stress, Hydro test stress allowable value should be different ( as mention is code). None of the value should be more than Yield stress value. For symmetric material yield stress value will be equal in all 3 dimension.
If you compare the above aspect you can draw the conclusion.

Regards

Habib
