Hi, this time I need to know how to do support verification.
For example, to verify that the stop restraint put on a pipe won't fail what calculation do you do? I talking about failure theory; when you calculate the steel combined stresses and confront them to steel allowables what failure theory (Von Mises theory, maximum shear theory ecc. ecc.) I have to use?
I hope it's clear, many thanks

For design pipe support read M.S.S- SP-58, for support fabrication and installation practices read M.S.S- SP-89 It give you clear idea.
