Hi, I have a reciprocating pump with only one piston according to API 674 - 675 (see the attached file); I read API 674 - 675 but I didn't find the allowable loads on connections as I can find for example in API 610. Do you know where I can find them or if the allowable loads depend on the type of pump and the only way is ask the vendor them?

Do you know if exists a maximum allowable peak-to-peak pulsation level (%) for a reciprocating pump? For example in API 618 par.3.9.2.4 is 10/(PL)^(1/3) where PL is average absolute line pressure

Thanks

Francesco

Dear Members,

Is there is any thumb rule to calculate allowable nozzle load for reciprocating pump. The vendor data for allowable nozzle load is pending.
Shall i use centrifugal pump allowable nozzle load as per API 610 for reciprocating pump, since i found the same acceptance in one company standard.

Please clarify...
