Hello..

can somebody explain what is the "max stress intensity" value that appears in the stress extended report and how can I use it to evaluate my system

I observed that in sustained case its value depends on internal pressure (which is reflected on axial and hoop stresses) and bending stress however it always has a value equal to or larger than code stress..
how it can be larger than code stress & why it is not taken in these cases as code stress?

That column in the "Extended Stress Report" can be either the "Stress Intensity" or the "Octahedral / von Mises" stress. To see how these are computed, read the "help text" for the "Yield Criterion" setting in the Configuration Module (on the "SIF & Stress" tab).

Most piping codes don't consider this value in their pass/fail evaluation, which is why it sometimes exceeds the Code Stress.
