Hi there ,

I am have having difficulty saving changes I have made to an isometric style in i-configure . Each time I successfully save my changes in i-configure and then generate my isometric in caesar's "c2isogen" I find that the stlye changes made are lost.

Typical changes I have tried to make are to hide the north arrow and also change the orientation of the north .

I am running Caesar 5.1 Build 090206.

I am inclined to thick there is some problem in the transfer of data from c2isogen and i-configure........

Can anyone shed some light on this issue ?

Thanks.

The style settings are supposed to be saved in a xml file, which is under isometric dir/project/style directory, after you save it in I-Configure, you can open it using any xml editor and check the change. You can also check it after you generate the isometric drawings from CAESAR's end.

Yes , I've reviewed the xml file and found that changes made in I-configure to "north direction arrow" are registered in the xml file.

However , if I then change the north direction arrow in C2Isogen it will overwrite the north direction in my isometric style created in I-configure.

The problem is that in the C2Isogen graphic representation of the line only the direction of the north arrow is rotated , which is good , however in the generated iso the entire piping is rotated with the north arrow , which of course is not what I want.

In any case it seems strange that C2isogen is overwriting settings in I-configure.

Which version of CAESAR are you using? In the latest version, the entire piping will not be rotated, only north arrow does.

I will check the settings in I-Configure. If the settings or info can not be passed through the pcf file, then only the xml file can be modified.

I am running Caesar 5.1 Build 090206.

I have encountered further problems with c2isogen , in "Stress Isometrics Annotations" when I change , say , the textbox shape setting for "nodal annotation" to circle the change is either not shown on the generated isometric or "element annotation" textbox shape becomes a circle , very strange......

Any fixes you can suggest would be much appreciated.

Thanks
