Dear All,

I have some problems regarding the dynamic and static output of my piping model.

1)Dynamic Analysis( Water hammer)
I have an impulse file with 73 forces in it, when I am importing it into Caesar, it is allowing me to define just 10 node numbers. I want to define all the node number for all the 73 forces. Is it possible to define all the node numbers or not?

2) Static Output
There are some large SIFs on the bend which are accentuating the stresses. How to lower the SIFs?

Thanks

Anky

1) Try allocating more RAM to CAESAR II (via the Configuration).

2) The SIFs are computed from the equations found in Appendix D of B31.1/B31.3 (or a similar section in whatever Code you're running). Find the equation used for the bend and play with it in Excel to see what you need to do to lower the value. Chances are you won't be able to lower it that much, so you'll have to re-evaluate your system with a goal of lowering the forces and moments that act on these bends.
