Hello Mentors,

I am working for pipeline pump stations with S-bend risers and confused with riser design and scope break between pipeline and facility piping. New riser is located along the existing pipeline, existing riser is abandoned or demolished and there is no stress analysis of the existing pipeline.

If the displacements from virtual anchors (unknown locations) on both sides are considered, it is failure. Even anchor to anchor design ignoring the virtual anchors results in failure. No information about the anchor or displacement. Since the existing piping riser is ok and it is very common layout, the new riser should be ok.

But how do I verify and elaborate its behaviors? Could you give me your advice, please?
