hello all:

Which code should i chose when i analyse the Pig Trap Station(gas),B31.3 or B31.8,or i Should chose B31.3 in station and B31.8 out of station.
Somebody says that should chose B31.8~

Pig Trap Station Shall be as per Pipeline design code.
Moreover the design code brek is shown in PEFS/P&ID.

It depends on client standard also.

Pipeline design code is more robust as compared to piping design code.

End closures shall be as per ASME Section8

Read your Codes, discuss your COde requirements with senior personnel and the client or end user, and most importantly with someone who knows the terms of the contract. Nobody on this forum can possibly give you a credible answer to your question without doing all of the above.
