I am having trouble running a design. Originally the design was required to comply with the DNV standard, and I was able to run it no problem.

Now it is required to comply with B31.8 Ch VIII. So I changed the Allowable stress to B31.8 Ch VIII and try to run it again and got error 1E at all the points were I defined the allowable stress. The error reads:
"F, Eff, or Fac on element 10 To 20 is incorrectly specified, or omitted. See the HELP screens [?] for assistance."

B31.8 Ch VIII doesn't use the Eff value, I don't know what F is and I have a value of 0.73 for Fac (which complies with the standard and is correct according to CAESAR HELP).

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

A unitless multiplication factor used by some transmission and non-U.S. piping codes. The specific input required for each piping code is discussed as follows:

B31.8 Chapter VIII. This value is F1, Hoop Stress Design Factor, as per Table A842.22 of B31.8. Appropriate values are 0.72 for Pipelines or 0.50 for Platform piping and Risers.
