I worked on Caesar and I had done the static analysis of the above ground piping system but I never done the underground piping stress analysis.

Now,in my coming project,I want to do the underground piping stress analysis, So what is the procedure of analysis in CaesarII and what basic information(data) I required to start the analysis?

Guide me on this topic.

There is a chapter in the help documents. first do a model as per this example. Do a small pipe routing. Error check. Then go to underground instead of piping input menu to enter the buried pipe modeller. Here two icons are given. Soil Models and Convert. Give the soil properties with the data from soil investigation and Civil engineer. Then click the Convert icon after giving the necessary mesh input to mark the length of piping buried. Now your piping model is converted as buried piping. Note that no supports are to be provided in the buried length which you give only for above ground piping. Now you see the file name on the top is added with a B. Now again go to the piping menu and run analysis as usual.

For proceeding underground analysis you mainly require the following soil parameters
Initial soil resistance
Ultimate soil resistance
Longitudinal yield strength of soil
Friction angle
Adhesion factor
And Soil Modulus E'(psi)
