As you know, API 610 nozzle loads are set based on the following two parameters:

1) Casing distortion.
2) Shaft deflection.

It can be expected that failure will happen when loads above API allowable are going to be imposed on nozzles in long periods of time. So I think that there is no need to check loads on nozzles in seismic condition with those listed in API standard. Maybe, higher loads than those listed in API standard could be imposed on pump nozzles during short period of time in seismic conditions. I have not found any code documentary on this subject. Hence, the question is: “How to evaluate loads on any rotating machines in seismic conditions?”
