Vikrant,
Just from a pipelay (installation) perspective, some of the things you will need to consider are depth variation of sea water (including tidal variations in shallower waters), range of tension loads on the pipeline tensioner on the lay barge, roller locations and heights on the lay barge, stiffness of pipe including coatings, bouyancy effects including coatings, and use a program such as Offpipe to calculate the stresses in the "S curve" of the pipeline as it is being laid on the seabed off the barge. This is something a pipeline engineer will look at.
