Could anybody tell me why the bending stresses and the maximum stress intensities in the same node, but belongs to two different connecting elements, have different values? I am using B31.8 Ch. VIII code. Thanks in advance.

The first two ideas that come to mind are:

- the individual element loads are different
- the cross section of the individual elements are different.
