Hi! I have one Question. I've tried to search but I couldn't.

Can I turn off the 3D view window when I work with the piping input spread-sheet?

Because whenever I input a something in spreadsheet, the 3D view window is refreshed. It makes my job sluggish.

Version : CAESAR II 5.0
OS : windows xp pro.

Any comment would be great help.

Thanks all....

You cannot turn off the 3D view, but you can stop the view from refreshing when you add data. To do that select Environment and uncheck the menu item called "Reset View on Refresh."

Dear Mr Brown...

Thanks but...
I've already tried "Reset View on Refresh" thing. But nothing changes...
The 3D view is always refreshed. What's happening to my computer?
That is a bug or something? Or Am I missing something else?

Thanks in advance....

If you uncheck the reset view on refresh then the model should not refresh while you enter data. But in the event that it does, this will not slow down the input. You can switch spreadsheets, enter data, and continue to new spreadsheets simultaneously while the view refreshes. I know this is not what you want, but it shouldn't be a speed issue.

Further, if you experience speed issues, it is likely that your hardware acceleration is set to full. Right-click on your Windows Desktop and select Properties->Settings->Advanced->Troubleshoot and turn the Hardware Acceleration to NONE and apply this setting. That should speed things up significantly.

OK
I got it.
I realized that it is refreshed but that doesn't make my job lazy.

I'm already using the full hardware acceleration, thanks, though.
And,thank you for your concern and advice.

Have a great day!

I am having the same problem. I have a model that has 1500 nodes and all I am trying to do is update thickness data on some nodes. I hope in the next version you have an option of getting rid of the 3D view by the user.
