if clicking the API650 calculates the nozzle stiffness for tanks, does it also calculate the tank's displacement and rotation?

help.

thanks!

Yes,due to Fluid head and temp.

You will find the displacement and rotation values in hte "Error Check" report, just after the stiffnesses.

thanks! my understanding is, I do not need to put any imposed displacement and rotation in the nozzle... am I right?

regards,

The Error Checker computes the deflection and rotation due to temperature and fluid head. These values are not included in the analysis.

If you need to consider these deflections, you need to impose them manually (i.e. take the values from the Error Checker and go back to the input and apply them to the nozzle node).
