Hi
I'm performing a pipe stress analysis of a pipelines connected to a wellhead which have a vertical displacement of 180 mm and horisontal displacment of 20mm. Connected to this wellhead are two pipelines with swivel joints (in order to compensate for the vertical movement). The problem is that I'm interrested in the stress situation when the pipeline is subjected to horisontal movement.

I have modelled the swivel joints in the same way as you modell ball joints (mentioned in the application guide, page 6-2), the problem is that you will not get any stress values due to bending moments etc when they are modelled this way.

So my question is:
Is there anyone with any experience in analysing swivel joints who can tell me a good way to perform this type of analysis?
