I am interested in knowing the application of the "offsets" option in CAESAR II.
Is there a situation that warrants the use of offsets invariably?

Use help(F1) option in CAESAR II where u can get more about offset or refer technical reference.

Try the 'On Line Documentation' under HELP. The coverage of the subject is not at all vague in the manuals. It has very good explanations on why and when to use the offsets.
