Can any of you share your experiences of the Online courses on Finite Element analysis offered on the Internet?

The Open University in the UK is going to start a new FEA (distance learning course T525?) course for GRADUATE ENGINEERS at a reasonable fee, but judging by the last one they had, which wasn't a two minute wonder..it was really 'indepth' and worth a lot more more than 15 credits.It is possible that that the new course will use the student's version of Ansys FEA program so contact Dr.Matela at the OU, he may be able to fill you in on what is exactly on offer.
Failing which there is a very good FEA program called ROSHAZ which can handle almost all piping models but is difficult to master without proper training.Contact Robert Johnson at bj@tickford-cons.demon.co.uk for more details.

Along with the web based courses, I would also recommend any good text book on Variational Calculus to catch the concepts of FEA.
