Can I use PD550 for analys Nozzle Flexibility for Nozzle at the top of head of vertical tank?

If the 'tank' is more are pressure vessel with formed heads it is possible to use the PD5500 spherical shell option to compute a rough estimate of the flexibility by using the appropriate radius and wall thickness and if you are dealing with a center nozzle.

If the geometry is outside the scope of PD5500 the flexibility should be calculated using FE analysis.

Furthermore, FEA is the only way to deal with geometry of a storage tank roof, taken into account rafter spacing, eccentric nozzle position etc.
