Could anyone please tell me the BASE POINT of Centrifugal Compressors,when input displacements.

The verical or horizontal expansion should be considered based on the operating temp. of the line in or out.The axial expansion is considered based on the mean temp.except for the 2nd stage discharge which requires use of operating temp.The vertical expansion is considered based on the anchor point which is the intersection of the shaft centerline & the keyed support.For the horizontal expansion,the anchor point is the support near the coupling end drivers.
