Hello!

Considering the Horizontal vessel as simply supported beam, how can i find deflection at different points of vessels due to load, in PVElite.

How can i find, At which point of the vessel is maximum deflection and HOW MUCH...

Thanks

Bajwa

Hell Bajwa

Finding the deflection of the pressure vessel is a little more complicated than finding the deflection of a simple beam. You have to take the end (overhanging) moments into account. The formula for the deflection can be found in any strength of materials or structures book.
