Guys, no offence, but i do think the new interface of PVelite 2013 and Codecal 2013 were not user friendly enough. I think it even might increase our equipment designing time.
I am the user since 2005 and this is the first time i have such feeling.

Please share your thoughts

thanks

kk

I tend to agree with kk about the interface. That said though I'm guessing it was due to complying with Microsoft's format.

I haven't found how to open Codecalc from within PVElite like I could on all the older versions that I've used since 2007.

I miss the days when I could talk directly to Mandeep, Ray & Scott about support or just to ask questions. That was an added value to using PVElite & Codecalc.

Yes, I am agree too and is take time to design the vessel. Furthermore, latest PV Elite 2013 cannot view the 2D & 3D at the same time so have to keep changing the view.

Hi,

We appreciate your feedback on this subject.

These are some of our suggestions for customizing the interface.
  • Change the 3D graphics options to show in the toolbar instead of the ribbon. Select this change in 'Options' settings at the top corner of the interface (see img. '3D graphics toolbar').
  • If you want to keep the large icons for the interface but you want them to be stacked by two rows, you may need to increase your screen resolution and/or increase the DPI size. You can set this up through the Windows Appearance and Personalization options (see img. 'LargeIcons').
  • If you want to use small icons then select this option again through the 'Options' settings at the top corner of the interface (see img. 'SmallIcons').
  • You can open CodeCalc 2013 from within PV Elite 2013 if you select the icon 'Component Analysis' (see img. 'ComponentAnalysis').
  • You can now run the analysis by just pressing the key <F12> (see img. 'F12Key').
We are transitioning to a new support system to help us track issues and new feature ideas better. You can read more about this support platform here.

Hi Lim,

Just curious, what is it that you see in 2D that can't be seen in 3D?

Best regards,
Tim
