I am trying to do the stress analysis of lines connected to Mud-pump of a Drilling Rig.Now the flanges that has been used in the line are of # 10000 Psi rating.But in CAESAR II, flange library has a flange of maximum rating of 2500 Psi.Now, is there any way by which I can model a flange of 10000 Psi ? I also need to do the flange leakage analysis of the flanges,thats why I can not simply put the weight of flange and do the analysis.

Caesar do not perform any stress check for rigid element like flange, valve.

We required only weight & dimension for piping stress analysis.
1) Weight used to calculate overall support/ nozzle load properly.
2) Dimension - higher stiffness than pipe piece for that portion of piping.

We click flange/valve database just to collect dimension & weight.

If vendor supply the same we should manually feed the weight & dimension data.

In simplified flange leakage check we convert force & moment to equivalent pressure to cross check with pressure-temperature rating.

If pressure rating is higher than B 16.5 we may ask vendor to provide either acceptable force & moment.

You need the flange geometry to carry out an ASME VIII or similar flange check. It's probably an API 10000# type 6BX flange, but you need to check exactly the flange and gasket type.
