Good Morning PPl,
i have a situation where by on a vertical vessel i have an 18" manway with a blind attached on the top dished head and i need to attach another 8" nozzle on the blind of the manway as an inlet nozzle.
Any ideas on how i can do it in PVElite or do i need to perform seperate calculations for it in Code calc.

Dear Ajay,

Of course you need to do separately in Pv-elite. Perform Standard Blind Flange and attached nozzle in new file. Also you need to perform reinforcement calculation as per UG-39(d)2 single opening in Flat Head.

I did it in PVE but the calculations according to UG-39(d)2 i cannot get it done.
Any ideas as to how can i do that?

You either add the nozzle on the blind flange and the program will be perform the reinforcement calculation

or

specify the opening and then the program will automatically choose UG-39(d2). In this case for the blind flange, check the box to indicate "Evaluate Uniform Patterned Holes". If you just have one nozzle then ignore d2 and pitch distance.

I would say, use the first option as you will get the nozzle neck/weld calculation all included.
