Hello
I'm calculating a Heat Exchanger by using PV Elite. My shell side design working press is 300 psig, and I understand that MAWP of this side should be at least 300 psig or more. But I'm getting Summary of Allowable Working Pressures 230 psig. Am I doing something wrong or could anyone please tell me when does MAWP be less than DWP?

Good Morning Shahin,

I have not heard from you for a while.

In the Tubesheet report, the MAWP of the shell and channel side is listed. Can you confirm the MAWP from that.

Then, this mawp is considered along with the MAWP of the shell/channel cylinder, head, ANSI flanges etc. You have to find which the controlling element is.

Good Morning Mandeep,
I just mailed you the attachment. It seems very odd. Tubesheet report shows 595.52 psig, connections mawp are high too.......; I'm talking about sheel side only.

Thanks a lot!

Shahin
